INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ENROLMENT IS ON THE DECLINE IN THE U.S.

An article titled, “U.S. Schools Attract Smaller Share of International Students” published in the New York Times briefs on how the numbers of enrolling international students in the United States has taken a large hit over the years since the commencement of the millennium. America, who sits at the top of the list of universities attracting international student enrolment, has seen large numbers on the decline, while countries such as Canada, Australia, and New Zealand have seen increasing numbers.

Is this decrease for the U.S surprising? Not particularly, however its an interesting fact on how the world of higher education has been affected over the decade due to the changes in political stance, government policies, and financial decline of this country.
